Results and pathways
Despite the threat of snow, all students have continued to work hard and focus on their studies. It was a pleasure to meet so many parents of year 8 students last night at our pathways evening. There was a real buzz in the Gandhi building where students could see what was on offer in terms of their GCSE choices next year and speak to the specialists involved.
Likewise, on Wednesday afternoon, year 11 students experienced just what it will feel like in August when they receive that brown envelope with their GCSE results, following all their hard work. This Wednesday’s brown envelope contained their mock results – there was surprise, relief and in some instances, disappointment on the faces of year 11. Many realise how their hard work, commitment and effort is paying off. I am sure they will be very focused over the coming months to ensure that they achieve their full potential in the summer.
My best wishes for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
