PSHE, CBSO and the House Challenge!
What a week of activity! Wednesday was a very successful PSHE day with students working on the themes of health and well being and relationships. It was excellent to see so many of our students just as focused in the sessions on Wednesday as they are in their normal timetabled lessons and many of our visitors commented on how engaged our young people were.
On Thursday it was a delight to be anywhere near the Churchill Hall, as many of our own talented musicians practised with their peers from Arden School, Shirley Heath and Dorridge Primary schools along with the CBSO, in preparation for the performance at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham on the 7th March. I am very much looking forward to hearing the combined orchestra on the 7th March. It is such an excellent opportunity for our wonderful musicians to perform in such a prestigious venue. My thanks to Mr Johnson for organising such a wonderful experience for our students.
Friday lunchtime saw our first House Challenge and what an exciting event it was. Members of each house from all the year groups pitted their wits and general knowledge against each other and the winning house was Atlantis!
Congratulations to the following students on entering their names into the Golden Book this week: Sidnie H for excellent geography and Aaron H and Lewis G for being such excellent role models in school. Very well done to all these students.
