Enterprising activities

It has been another week of  engaging  activities at Light Hall.  Year 7 have been demonstrating their entrepreneurial skills during our enterprise days. I was very impressed by their behaviour and their ability to “pitch” their products!  We  certainly have lots of budding business people in year 7.

House football and dance competitions took place this week.  Congratulations to Endeavour and Atlantis for winning the football.

Congratulations , also, to Evie T on winning the Solihull  Public Speaking Competition at the weekend. It was a tough competition and Evie performed brilliantly, bringing back the trophy for school.

Congratulations to the following students who have entered their names into the Golden Book this week: Evie T for her public speaking triumph, Hasan A for his outstanding German, Navin M, Ben L and Joe W for their excellent sportsmanship and Eden B for her wonderful work in history.

Our GCSE historians are currently visiting the battlefields in Belgium, we wish them a safe journey home tomorrow and we also wish our group of skiers “Bon voyage!” as they head out to the slopes in Andorra very early tomorrow morning.

Many year 11 students will be in school over the half term holiday, continuing their revision for their GSCEs. My best wishes to them and everyone for a productive and fulfilling holiday.
