However, it was very encouraging to see that disappointment quickly turned to determination. “I can do better than that” was a phrase I heard from some students. Likewise, it was very good to hear others saying how pleased they were with their results because they had worked so hard. All year 11s have gained much from the experience and now know exactly what they need to focus on, in order to get the good grades they deserve and need.
Churchill Hall and the Gandhi building were buzzing last night as year 8 began to consider their GCSE choices. It was a pleasure to see so many students and parents finding out about the new GCSEs.
We have had several visitors in school this week and all have commended our students on their good behaviour. Everyone has coped well with the challenging weather this week.
