A hive of activity... despite the weather!
Light Hall has continued to be a hive of activity this week, despite the unpredictable nature of the weather and frequent showers of snow, sleet or rain. Rehearsals for “ Joseph And His Technicolor Dreamcoat” are in full swing , all actors, singers and musicians are working extremely hard and I am very much looking forward to the performances in a few weeks’ time. I am sure we are in store for a real treat.
Those students who will be taking to the slopes in February half term have been sharpening up their skills at the dry ski slope and at the Snowdome in Tamworth after school.
There appear to have been more year 11 students leaving school at 4 o’clock rather than 3 o’clock as they have been attending revision and catch up sessions in preparation for the forthcoming examinations. Time is now of the essence for our year 11s and I am pleased to see that they are making the most of all the support offered by their teachers. Of course, all the hard work continues in lessons – I have seen some very promising drama, inspiring dance, exciting maths using ipads and some thought provoking English in my visits to lessons this week.
This week I have had the pleasure of meeting Joshua Gough and Arham Anwar as they have been nominated for the Golden Book. Joshua for his service to the school and Arham for his outstanding work in RE. Very well done to both of these boys.
My best wishes for a relaxing weekend.
