Excellence in all we do.

The hard work and focus always continues at Light Hall. In my visits  to lessons I have impressed by Year 9’s knowledge and understanding of the complex relationships in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Year 7 have taught me  much about ligaments and tendons and how our muscles work. I saw  some very thought provoking drama pieces and have been very pleased with the way that year 11 have been completing the coursework element of their study.

The government announced this week  that they recognised the excellent work we do here with our students who are in receipt of the Pupil Premium and will award us a prize of £5000 as a result. It is very pleasing that our work and success is being acknowledged at a national level.

We have four students in year 8 who will be taking part in the Solihull public speaking  competition tomorrow and we wish them all the very best.  Our actors and musicians are busy preparing for the production of “Joseph and his amazing technicolor dream coat” next week.  Please do get your tickets – it promises to be a wonderful event.

My very best wishes for a relaxing half term break.
